It appears this week that I have been bit by startitis. Roam and Flavia have both been cast on. Which means that my in progress knitting is up to 12 WIPS. That’s a lot of WIPS. So I’ve decided to narrow my focus for the rest of the month and see what I can finish. I hope to have the reunion cowl, Algonquin, Flavia, the back of Roam complete, and at least two strips of the blanket finished by the end of the month. It seems like a lot, but I think that I can manage a good chunk of it. I’ll keep you posted.
I’ve also added a new running total at the bottom of my list. I have decided to track my yarn in and out for each month. I will include all yarn that comes in regardless of source. Bought yarn, club yarn, and gifted yarn will all be added. Likewise yarn that is knit or otherwise destashed will be included in the outgoing category. My goal by the end of 2012 is to have a bigger number on the yarn out then the yarn in side.
Looking forward to seeing everyone else’s progress. Hope you all had a lovely fibre filled week.

Great goals, and yes, 12 is a lot of WIPs!

I reckon all of us have more WIPs than we realise if we had a delve in the bottom of project bags….or is that just me?
Like your stash idea it’s also easy to buy new yarn and then be pleasantly surprised when you find it at a later date…..again just me then?!

Ball in/Balls out – what a great idea! That might be a strategy I adopt for my Surmount the Stash 2012 challenge! I think almost everyone gets a case of “startitis” in the New Year … I’ve already signed myself for a crochet along of a blanket. Yikes!

12 is managable… good for you!

Ah .. the wonderful world of WIPs. I think we’re all a bit guilty of having too many of them. Good luck with finishing off a few.
