So I’m nicely settled here in my new blog. I still have a few things to add here and there, but for the most part I’ve kicked all the tires and dusted stuff off. It feels pretty comfortable and as soon as I have the time to put on some final touches it will be perfect.
So I figured it’s time to celebrate. And what’s a better way to celebrate then having a giveaway! So here it is, my first WordPress giveaway!
For your viewing pleasure I present Freia.
She is a handspun & painted %100 wool skein. It’s a 50 gram ball with 133m/145y.
Freia was given to me in exchange for some work I did for Knitty.com. You can even see the swatch I knit up here. (You have to scroll a little, but it’s there.) I picked this colourway thinking that it would match something I already owned. Unfortunately it was not as good of a match as I thought and it’s never going to get used for anything. But, it is too pretty to sit and do nothing so I want to send it to a good home.
If you want a chance at this ball, leave me a comment on this posting before midnight on Friday June 17th, 2011. My random number generator, (a.k.a. my husband,) will pick the winner on Saturday June 18th and I will notify the lucky winner for shipping info.

Congrats on the new blog site. I envy you your two wheels… I have not yet ventures down that path to spinning, my kids already complain that all I do is knit… imagine, I’ll end up like the miller’s daughter in Rumplestiltskin!
As for the Freia, I have always loved lurking on that Knitty page and wonder how you found your way to being a test knitter…. might justify trying (more) new yarns!
