YOP Update October 30

The end of October is here and I must say it really did come as a bit of a shock to my system.  I can’t believe that we are so close to winter being upon us and that the weather has gotten so cold.  I even got caught without a pair of fingerless gloves! (I really don’t know how that happened!)  I also can’t believe that we are heading  into month four of the Year of Projects Challenge.  As they say, time flies.

This week mostly went well on the knitting front.  I finished weaving in all the ends of Little J’s Christmas present and once I do the last twenty minutes or so of work on it will be finished and off the list.  (And to my BFF NO!!!!  Christmas can’t come tomorrow no matter how much you want it too.  I’m not ready yet!  Do you really want to be responsible for what will happen to my mental well-being if I fall that far behind in my knitting?  Do you?  Huh?  At this point you need to pause briefly for dramatic irony while envisioning me giving the stink eye to someone most of you have never met.  Done? Great.  Moving on.)   After one small false start, the kleenex cases are coming along swimmingly.  I’m almost at the half way point and they are a very fast very easy knit.  I’ve even sorted and started joining the squares for the blanket.  Fairly fast to do, but I’m already bored.

I must admit that I did hit a little road block on Thursday and came home from work not wanting to  knit or blog. Instead my  Hubby and I spent the night watching bad T.V. and eating pizza.  Much needed for my sanity, but it does mean that I didn’t introduce you to the cuteness of the finished gargoyle.  Check back this Friday for him.

Hope your week went well.

Hi Keri, wow you’ve been busy writing so many posts recently and doing creative things.

I just wanted to say thanks for the blog award…it was a lovely surprise. I haven’t had a chance to write the post yet but will be onto it soon.

Your Thursday evening sounded perfect sometimes that’s the best thing to do…

    Have a good week,
    Deb

Great progress Keri! Keep up the good work! 1/3 of the way through the YOP and you should be rather pleased with yourself 😉

Have a good week and hopefully one day I run into you at Crative Yarns!

I hate feeling like I don’t want to do anything other than watch TV. But sometimes that’s the best thing you can do for yourself for a night or two. Seems ridiculous we would need a break from the things we enjoy, but apparently that’s the case. I’ve been there time, and time again.
In fact, I’ve just been there. :p

I am so impressed with your progress!!! I need to get back on my schedule.

Lot to be said for bad tv and nice food! Makes the rest of the week tick over better sometimes. I have to admit to feeling terribly guilty on the nights I don’t crochet, however on occasion I think a night off will probably make me a more rounded person (not the crochet addict I’m accused of being!)

Sometimes you need some time off to recharge your batteries and reconnect. It’s meant to be fun, after all.

I’ve also enjoyed all your recent posts, though have not always commented on them. Great writing, much appreciated.

Pizza and bad tv is required (in moderation, of course) for good mental health :).

I am for sure wishing time would not fly so quickly! I found myself wishing I had some fingerless mitts this past week at work. My hands would get so cold I could hardly type! Have a great week–and I hope sound mental health has returned after your bout with bad tv!

While you’re dreading the oncoming cold weather, we here in Australia are enjoying the most beautiful days. Its been a long cold winter and I’m looking forward to the next few months. My roses are blooming and are beautiful – pics on my blog if you’d like to visit. Looking forward to pics of your gargoyle. Hope you have a great week.
